I've now reset the browser settings For Google and Microsoft Edge (and Firefox) to default and did a re-start. They have McAfee (they paid £99 March 2023) but Microsoft Edge was set as their default browser for website protection. When I switched on their computer I saw this LogMeInRescue panel and I took a photo. I visited this morning and the internet was still switched off. They phoned me and I told them to switch off the computer and internet, which they did. They say they didn't give any financial details. Yesterday, a frail and vulnerable friend has unfortunately responded to a Windows Defender Security phishing pop-up whilst on Google browser. I'm concerned about this screenshot of 'LogMeInRescue'.
